Stricken, smitten and afflicted
We sang this hymn today in church. The tune itself is lovely and moving. Here is verse 4:
Here we have a firm foundation,
Here the refuge of the lost;
Christ the Rock of our salvation,
His the name of which we boast.
Lamb of God for sinners wounded,
Sacrifice to cancel guilt!
None shall ever be confounded
Who on Him their hope have built.
beautiful hymn and beautiful art! I've been wanting to do some metal art in the near future...maybe this is the perfect inspiration for me to try. :) And I'm glad Walter is back safe and sound...such a brave boy! (and brave Mom!)
